Stoke-on-Trent is a city rich with heritage, humility and humour, and we can’t think of a better home to celebrate kindness, inclusivity, confidence and the go-f*cking-get-it-underdog.

We are not fancy, but we are fierce.

Need some help on where to stay and what to do?

We’re currently in the process of organising discounts on local attractions to make the most of your trip (erm ALTON TOWERS ANYONE!?) and organising information on parking and hotels but in the meantime whilst we get all of that sorted for you, do visit our friends over at Visit Stoke for the down low.

ATTENTION!

WE’VE CHANGED VENUE

Our new venue is bigger, better, and ready for you.

Getting to Confidence Live

There is a multi-story car park right next to the venue, or other car parks within walking distance.

🚂 Train: Stoke train station is about an 8 minute drive from the venue.

🛸 Flying: Stoke International Airport has not yet begun construction, so if you’re flying in for the conference then head to:

Birmingham Airport

Manchester Aiport

From either airport, trains will take you to Stoke in about 1hr 15m.

We can’t wait to welcome to you to our city

Stoke has so much to offer. Not only is it just incredibly practically located being smack bang in the middle of the country, with easy train lines from London, Birmimgham, Manchester, Liverpool oh everywhere really, it’s also just really good crack.

We are working hard to make sure this celebration brings you the very best of our city.

Our founder, Kirsty Hulse, grew up on Stoke stages not quite able to do the splits.

Kirsty’s aunty Marilyn, (actual aunty, not just someone your mum makes you call aunty) founded the Marilyn Jones dance centre in Stoke in 1977. As a result, Kirsty was stomping around on stages whilst she was just out of nappies. At 4 years old, she quite agressively pushed a young boy out of her way because he accidentally stood in front of her during her virtuoso performance of twinkle twinkle little star. This moment was captured on video, and would, perhaps, become a precursor to Kirsty’s ongoing attemps to push boys out of her way.

Whilst many of her cousins went on to become professional entertainers, Kirsty accidentally found a more scenic route to the stage.

Now, Kirsty is a world leading motivational speaker.

She founded her first company at 26, a marketing agency with global clients like Virgin Atlantic and IBM, which turned over nearly a million dollars in its first year of trading. She has delivered training programs to audiences of over 14,000 and her work has been described as “game changing”, “life changing” and from the thousands of people she has worked with, 100% of attendees would recommend her work to a colleague.

“Stoke is where I found my confidence, it’s where I was educated and where I got consistently trolled by my 4 older brothers. It is where my mum Val told me people are going to stare, so give them something to look at. It is my home.”
